Michel Chapoutier, proprietor and winemaker of Maison M. Chapoutier in the Northern Rhône, is one of the most influential figures in modern French winemaking. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, he has spent decades redefining Rhône Valley wines through a deep respect for terroir, precision, and natural balance.

Today, Chapoutier’s vineyards span the Rhône Valley’s most iconic appellations, from Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie to Condrieu and Saint-Joseph, farmed with a philosophy rooted in biodiversity and minimal intervention. His wines are known for their purity, expressive aromatics, and the ability to reveal each vineyard’s unique identity — combining power, elegance, and a true sense of place.
