Refund policy

Le French Wine Club can only accept returns if the merchandise is defective in quality, or if the package has been damaged during shipping and affected the product. New York State Law prohibits the return of alcoholic beverages for any other reason, including liquor or wine purchased in customer error (New York State ABC Law).

Return, Refund, Online Store Credit Policy

Le French Wine Club can offer under the below conditions a replacement of the same item, a credit card refund (with a valid receipt) or an online store credit if the product is no longer available. Products being returned must be in the original box and/or packaging. Once your return is received by our team, it will be reviewed, if accepted, your refund or exchange will be processed usually within 72 hrs. of receipt. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post it to your account. Le French Wine Club will not be responsible for any charges or fees levied against you by your financial or banking institution for any returns and will not be held responsible for any delay in refunds caused by events or parties outside of our control, including your financial institution. For orders delivered outside the US, Le French Wine Club will not offer refunds or exchanges. Please note New York State Law also prohibits the refund of alcoholic beverages in cash.

1-Defective product(s)

New York State’s Liquor Authority allows Retailers like Le French Wine Club to only accept return on wines that are defective. In case of defective product, notify Le French Wine Club within fifteen days of receipt of a shipment at bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com if you believe an item is spoiled due to cork taint or bacteria. You then must return the bottle with remaining wine content and with its original cork or closure. We absolutely cannot replace any empty bottles.

  1. No return for older vintage wines

    Any wines that are ten years or older are purchased at your sole risk and therefore are non-refundable. Even when properly sourced and stored, old vintage wines are more susceptible to flaws, and thus you assume the risk of a possibly flawed bottle. Le French Wine Club will also not accept returns of these older bottles if the wine is no longer drinkable or as expected. The development of the wine over time can be unpredictable and there can be variations from bottle to bottle.

  2. Extreme weather conditions

    Le French Wine Club may refuse, cancel, adjust, or postpone your order in case of unsuitable weather conditions to ship wine, such as extreme cold temperatures (below 25F) or hot temperatures (above 88F). If the customer insists to get a delivery regardless of our weather precaution warnings, returns and refunds for spoiled products due to unsuitable weather conditions will not be accepted.

2-Damaged package.

If you receive a shipment or delivery from Le French Wine Club, please inspect your package immediately upon arrival. In the case that your shipment is damaged in transit, you must inform us within two business days by email at bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com. For any broken bottles, we need you to return the unopened sealed necks of the bottles for us to accept the claim. Once damaged bottles have been returned and approved, a new replacement package will be sent out to you, or we will issue an online store credit if the product is no longer available.

3. Changes to orders and customers errors

Cancelling or changing orders

If you wish to change your order for any reason right after you placed it, email our customer service team bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com within 2-3 hours of placing it, so we can attempt to modify it before it gets shipped. If the order has already shipped, you will not be able to change it nor get a refund. Per New York state ABC law, the New York State Liquor Authority, does not approve the acceptance by a retailer or online retailer of the return of liquor or wine purchased by a customer in error. Outside New York State, shipping charges are not refunded, and an additional restocking fee of 10% will apply.

  1. Le French Wine Club’s right to refuse, cancel and adjust orders

    Le French Wine Club may refuse, cancel, or adjust your order for any reason. If the product you want is not available, Le French Wine Club customer service team will notify you and offer you a reasonable substitute or refund your credit card. If you accept the substitution, the order total will be adjusted accordingly.

    Some state liquor laws limit the number or type of product(s) in your order. If this happens, Le French Wine Club will notify you and offer a reasonable substitute or refund your credit card. If you accept the substitution, the order total will be adjusted accordingly.

  2. Le French Wine Club right to refuse multiple delivery attempts and charge a restocking and redelivery Fee

    Le French Wine Club or their delivery provider may refuse to deliver your order if they believe that furnishing alcohol to you or the person accepting the delivery on your behalf is by law: under the age of 21 years old, being unsafe, or inappropriate. If a delivery cannot be made for this, or any other reason, you will be responsible to cover eventual reshipping fee and a restocking fee equivalent to 10% of the value of the returned order. Subsequent delivery attempts are at the discretion of Le French Wine Club.

  3. Wrong or invalid account information

    You will be required to register an account to use our services and order wine from Le French Wine Club.com. You must provide accurate, current, and complete ID information during the registration process and at all other times when you enter our website. Additionally, you must update your account information such as address to keep it accurate, current, and complete. By law, you must be 21 years old to be able to register an account with Le French Wine Club and visit our website.

    Le French Wine Club is limited where they can deliver. For example, we cannot deliver to hotels and restaurants. Also, Le French Wine Club does not ship to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or third-party mailbox rental centers. Le French Wine Club does not ship internationally. If Le French Wine Club policy prohibits delivery to your address, we will notify you, cancel your order and issue a credit card refund.

4. Website and shipping Errors

Sometimes product information—such as images, descriptions, inventory availability, pricing, and reviews—contain errors. If Le French Wine Club identifies such errors, we will notify you and either offer a reasonable or equivalent value substitute or refund your credit card. If you accept the substitute, the order total will be adjusted accordingly.

If you receive a product that is not as described, or one in which you did not order, please notify us within 48 hours at  bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com and we will at our sole discretion either allow you to return the unused product (within the time period specified by Le French Wine Club) for a credit card refund, or provide you with a reasonable substitute. If you accept the substitution, the order total will be adjusted accordingly.
