Shipping policy

Bienvenue to Le French Wine Club! Our goal is to bring the ultimate French wine experience, with fast, secured, and convenient wine deliveries right to your door.   • Shipping time frame: Outside the five boroughs of New York City, the standard shipping method is UPS Ground-2 days. Please note, some states might require two to three extra shipping days. If you need faster shipping, you have the option at check-out to select UPS Second Day Air, with guaranteed next day delivery. In the five boroughs of New York City, we can offer same day shipping, or you can request a free store pick-up. For pick-up, check Le French Wine Shop location and opening hours. The estimated delivery time frame for each shipping option may vary and will be displayed at checkout.
  • Delivery days: We can ship everyday Monday through Saturday. Orders placed on Sunday will typically ship on the following business day.
  • Order cut-off time: For orders outside the five boroughs of New York City, the cut off for next day or second day delivery is 3:00pm. For local orders within the five boroughs of New York City, the cut off for same day delivery is 4:00pm.
  • Delivery delays: Le French Wine Club and its delivery providers are not responsible for delivery delays related to traffic, inclement weather, incidents, strikes or any force majeure type of events*. Also, a delivery could be delayed by US federal holidays, such as: New Year, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
  • Shipping costs: The shipping cost is calculated based on the weight of the product(s), the shipping options (ground, 2nd day air…) and the delivery location. The exact shipping cost will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please note these rates are calculated by national carriers and are subject to change.

*Force majeure events: when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the parties, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic, or sudden legal change prevents one or both parties from fulfilling their obligations under the contract.

  • Tracking and delivery confirmation: Upon placing your order you will get a confirmation email from orders@lefrenchwineclub.com informing you that your order has been received and is being prepared. You will receive a second email notification when your order has shipped with a tracking number live link or a notification for a free pick-up at the store. You also can track your order by logging in to your account or entering your tracking number at the footer of our landing page website.
  • Shipping restrictions: You must be at least 21 years of age to order, purchase and receive wine. Le French Wine Club and its delivery provider requires the signature of an adult (minimum 21 years of age) upon delivery of the order. We will not drop off the package otherwise, and we will typically redeliver you the following day.
  • Delivery attempts: If you miss the delivery, or if there were no adults above 21 years of age to sign for the package, our delivery provider will attempt to re-deliver to your address, up to three times. You will usually get a notification on your door. If you missed the third delivery attempt, your package will be stored at an offsite facility nearby for a maximum period of five days. You will be receiving a postcard notification in the mail with instructions on how to pick it up. For customers living in New York City five boroughs, the order will be brought back to our store for pick-up. Check our location and opening hours. Subsequent delivery attempts and returned orders to the shop are at the discretion of Le French Wine Club and might be subject to reshipping and restocking fees.   • Refunds, returns and exchanges: Le French Wine Club can only accept returns if the merchandise is defective in quality, or if the package has been damaged during shipping and affected the product. New York State Law prohibits the return of alcoholic beverages for any other reason, including liquor or wine purchased in customer error (New York State ABC Law). Please check our full Return Policy.
  • Orders refusals, cancellations, or adjustments: Le French Wine Club may refuse, cancel, or adjust your order for any reason. If the product you want is not available, Le French Wine Club customer service team will notify you and offer a reasonable substitute or refund your credit card. If you accept the substitution, the order total will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Extreme weather conditions: Le French Wine Club may refuse, cancel, adjust, or postpone your order in case of unsuitable weather conditions to ship wine, such as extreme cold temperatures (below 25F) or hot temperatures (above 88F). If the customer insists to get a delivery regardless of our weather precaution warnings, returns and refunds for spoiled products due to unsuitable weather conditions will not be accepted.
  • Shipping address & geographic restrictions: Le French Wine Club is limited where they can deliver. For example, we cannot deliver to hotels and restaurants. Also, Le French Wine Club does not ship to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or third-party mailbox rental centers. Le French Wine Club does not ship internationally. If Le French Wine Club policy prohibits delivery to your address, we will notify you, cancel your order and issue a credit card refund.
  • Products restrictions: Per the limitation of our license with the state of New York, we are only allowed to ship wines, ciders, or wine-based products. We are not allowed to ship spirits, beers, cordials, or non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Shipping a gift: For any gift requests, please send us an email at bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com, and our staff will be happy to custom gift-wrap your bottles or boxes. Please note, we are working on adding this option at check out.
  • Which states are we shipping to? Please find below the list of states where Le French Wine Club is shipping to. Please note ordering and shipping restrictions may apply in some state due to their liquor laws. If we are not shipping to your state, please send us a request at bonjour@lefrenchwineclub.com. We will keep you informed of our progress when we expand shipping to new states.
