The Alsace Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle 2018 from Domaine Trimbach is a remarkable example of the house’s mastery in crafting structured and age-worthy white wines. This cuvée comes from old vines planted on the best marl and limestone slopes around Ribeauvillé, resulting in a wine of depth, richness, and perfect balance. Expressive yet dry, it combines concentration and precision — a true reflection of Alsace’s noble terroirs.

EYE

Brilliant golden-yellow with subtle amber hues, reflecting both ripeness and concentration. The texture appears rich and luminous, suggesting complexity and body.

NOSE

The bouquet is generous and layered, revealing aromas of ripe pear, quince, apricot, and honeyed notes, lifted by hints of toasted almond, white flowers, and delicate smokiness. Subtle mineral undertones add freshness and refinement.

MOUTH

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and harmonious, with a silky texture balanced by lively acidity. Flavors of stone fruit, baked apple, and honey unfold gradually, supported by nuances of spice and wet stone. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, marked by minerality and fine tension that promise excellent aging potential.

PAIRING

An exceptional match for foie gras, roasted poultry, veal in creamy sauces, or mushroom dishes such as risotto or truffle pasta. It also pairs beautifully with Asian-inspired cuisine featuring mild spice or sweetness, and with rich cheeses like Comté or aged Gouda. Serve at 10–12°C to reveal its full aromatic depth.
