DESCRIPTION

The Bordeaux Blanc Semi-Dry from Chateleufe, selected by Herzog, is a fresh and lightly off-dry white wine that highlights the charm of Bordeaux's classic grape varieties. Crafted from a blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, it delivers a delicate balance between bright citrus fruit, floral notes, and a touch of sweetness. Smooth and approachable, it is a versatile wine suited for a wide range of occasions.

EYE

This wine shows a pale golden-yellow color with green reflections, bright and clear in the glass. Its appearance hints at freshness and aromatic expression.

NOSE

The bouquet is generous and floral, offering notes of white peach, citrus zest, and honeysuckle. Hints of melon and a touch of honey bring complexity and softness.

MOUTH

On the palate, it is smooth and round, with flavors of ripe stone fruits, pear, and lemon. A delicate sweetness balances the fresh acidity, leading to a soft, pleasant finish that is both refreshing and slightly tender.

PAIRING

Perfect with lightly spiced Asian dishes, sushi, or seafood. It also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, salads, or enjoyed as an aperitif when a touch of sweetness is desired.

Chateleufe

Chateleufe is a Bordeaux estate known for producing approachable, food-friendly wines. This cuvée is part of the Herzog Selection, a line of carefully curated kosher wines chosen for their quality and typicity. With attention to both tradition and kosher certification, this Bordeaux Blanc represents a harmonious meeting of heritage and accessibility.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
