DESCRIPTION

Daniel Dampt’s Chablis is a classic expression of Chardonnay from Burgundy’s northernmost vineyards. Combining purity, minerality, and precision, it reflects the estate’s deep respect for terroir and traditional craftsmanship. Crisp and elegant, this Chablis embodies the balance between vibrant freshness and refined texture that defines the best wines of the region.

EYE

Bright pale gold with green highlights, reflecting freshness and youth. Its clarity and brilliance capture the wine’s tension and mineral purity.

NOSE

Expressive yet refined, with aromas of green apple, lemon zest, and white flowers. Subtle hints of flint, wet stone, and a touch of honey add complexity and typicity to this pure Chablis profile.

MOUTH

On the palate, the wine is dry, crisp, and elegant. A vibrant acidity drives notes of citrus, pear, and crushed stone, leading to a balanced mid-palate that combines liveliness and finesse. The finish is long, mineral, and saline, leaving a lingering impression of freshness and precision.

PAIRING

Ideal with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, sushi, and white meats in light sauces. It also pairs beautifully with goat cheese or vegetable-based dishes, making it a perfect match for refined seafood and summer cuisine.

Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils

Based in the village of Milly, near Chablis, the Dampt family has been producing exceptional wines for several generations. The estate covers around 30 hectares across some of the finest limestone and Kimmeridgian marl slopes of the appellation. Daniel, along with his sons Vincent and Sébastien, continues to craft wines of purity and precision, staying true to the family’s philosophy of minimal intervention and respect for the land.

Burgundy

In Burgundy, the perfect soil and wine growing climate, coupled with a rich multi-generational history in growing grapes and making fine wines, has built Burgundy's extraordinary reputation for producing exceptional wines in 84 appellations. With a focus on pinot noir, chardonnay, gamay and aligoté grapes, the region showcases mostly single varietals. The pinot noir and chardonnay, accounts for the vast majority of the wines produced. There is also some sparkling made, knows as Crémant de Bourgogne. The high limestone content in Burgundy's soils coupled with a usually cool continental climate, produces the best pinot noir and chardonnay in the world. The whites showcase notes and flavors of white flowers, white flesh fruits and sometimes intense minerals, while the reds have scents of black fruits, red berries, spices or black truffle. No wonder, Burgundies where the wine of choice for many French kings, and to this day, remain the best companion for fine dining.
