DESCRIPTION

The Perle of the Sea Gaillac Blanc Perlé from Domaine de la Croix des Marchands is a lively and elegant white wine with a delicate natural sparkle. Made from local Gaillac varieties, it offers fresh fruit, floral aromas, and a crisp, vibrant palate. Light and refreshing, this cuvée perfectly expresses the charm and tradition of the Gaillac appellation.

EYE

This wine displays a pale straw-yellow color with bright silver reflections and a fine natural perlage that gives brilliance and life to the glass.

NOSE

The bouquet is fresh and delicate, with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers. Hints of herbs and minerality add elegance and complexity.

MOUTH

On the palate, it is crisp and lightly sparkling, with flavors of citrus, pear, and a touch of honey. The gentle effervescence lifts the fruit, while a lively acidity brings energy and a clean, refreshing finish.

PAIRING

Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, sushi, and summer salads. Its light, playful character makes it ideal for warm days and casual gatherings.

Domaine de la Croix des Marchands

Domaine de la Croix des Marchands is a family-owned estate in the heart of the Gaillac region, one of France’s oldest winegrowing areas. The domaine is committed to highlighting native grape varieties and producing wines that combine authenticity, freshness, and balance, with a focus on convivial, approachable cuvées.

Sud-Ouest

Known as France's hidden corner, this area south of Bordeaux and near the Spanish border has much of the quality of Bordeaux wines but without the high price tags. There are four sub regions each with unique soil, grapes and climate. Like Boardeaux, the vineyards can be found along the Dordogne river where the climate is slightly warmer. The Cahors region is the most famous and is known for being the birth place of the malbec grape. Their wines are aged in oak, deeply inky colored and rich in tannins. Madiran showcases a unique highly tannic red grape call Tannat giving bold dry style red wines. Lasty this region produces excellent approchable and aromatic dry and sweet white wines, from the Côtes de Gascogne with grapes such as Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc or Gros and Petit Manseng. The Sud Ouest region is at the forefront of innovation and sustainability and full of great valued wines to discover and share.
