DESCRIPTION

"Le Pavillon du Roy" Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie showcases freshness, purity, and the maritime influence typical of this appellation. The wine opens with citrus, green apple, and subtle floral notes, supported by a delicate mineral edge. On the palate, it is crisp and finely textured, with the characteristic sur lie aging contributing gentle roundness and a lightly creamy feel. Bright acidity maintains lift and clarity throughout. Elegant and refreshing, this cuvée is perfectly suited for seafood pairings, apéritif moments, and light, seasonal cuisine.

EYE

Pale lemon with bright, silvery reflections that emphasize freshness, while the clarity in the glass reflects careful vinification and preservation of aromatics.

NOSE

Aromas of lemon, green apple, and white flowers are joined by light saline and mineral notes, offering a precise and refreshing aromatic profile.

MOUTH

On the palate, the wine is crisp and lively, with clean acidity supporting citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Sur lie aging adds subtle roundness, leading to a focused, lightly saline finish.

PAIRING

Ideal with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, goat cheese, or simple vegetable dishes. Its brightness and mineral-driven style make it especially well suited to coastal and seasonal cuisine.

Le Pavillon du Roy

Le Pavillon du Roy produces wines that highlight clarity, balance, and regional identity, with a focus on freshness and expressive aromatics. Careful vineyard selection and traditional sur lie aging contribute to texture and subtle complexity. The style emphasizes purity of fruit and a clean, precise finish.

Loire

With 2,000 years of history featuring kings'castles and fortresses, the Loire Valley is home to 31 appelations, starting in the Muscadet to the west near the Atlantic Ocean, passing by Chinon, Vouvray and the Touraine in the middle, to end to the famous village of Sancerre, located all the way to the East. This region cultivates 24 grape varietals which offer a very diverse tasting and culinary experience. From mineral whites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc or Melon de Bourgogne (aka grape use in Muscadet) to light and spicy reds, such as Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir or Gamay. It is also France's third largest wine growing region, featuring a temperate climate and diverse terroirs influenced by the Atlantic ocean and the proximity of the Loire river. Enjoy white loire wines with goat cheese or seafood, and the reds with spicy cuisine and vegeterian dishes.
