DESCRIPTION

The Pauillac Premier Grand Cru Classé Grand Vin de Château Latour is one of the most revered wines in the world — a timeless symbol of power, precision, and purity. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it is sourced exclusively from the estate’s most prestigious vineyard, L’Enclos, overlooking the Gironde estuary. Aged in new French oak barrels, it combines density and minerality with extraordinary balance. Profoundly structured and endlessly refined, Château Latour is the embodiment of Pauillac’s strength and grace, built to evolve over decades.

EYE

Deep, almost opaque garnet-red with purple hues, signaling immense concentration and depth.

NOSE

Complex and restrained, with aromas of blackcurrant, graphite, cedar, and tobacco, evolving with time toward truffle, spice, and fine leather.

MOUTH

Monumental yet perfectly balanced, with dense fruit, firm but velvety tannins, and mineral precision. Flavors of cassis, licorice, and dark chocolate unfold into a long, seamless finish of remarkable purity and power. A wine of extraordinary longevity and finesse.

PAIRING

Ideal with roast lamb, venison, or beef Wellington. It also pairs beautifully with truffle-based dishes or aged cheeses such as Comté and Beaufort.

Château Latour

Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Latour stands at the pinnacle of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. With a history dating back to the 14th century, the estate has long been recognized for its meticulous vineyard management and unwavering commitment to excellence. Since 1993, under the leadership of François Pinault and the Artemis Group, Latour has embraced organic and biodynamic practices, producing wines that express the purest reflection of their exceptional terroir — combining longevity, precision, and timeless elegance.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
