DESCRIPTION

Château Haut-Vigneau Pessac-Léognan Blanc offers a refined and expressive interpretation of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from the prestigious Graves region. The wine opens with aromas of citrus and white flowers, supported by a subtle touch of ripe stone fruit. On the palate, it delivers brightness and supple texture, balanced by clean, well-defined acidity. Mineral tension brings precision and length, giving the wine both freshness and depth. Elegant and harmonious, it is suitable for immediate enjoyment while capable of graceful development over the next few years.

EYE

This wine presents a pale yellow color with bright, silvery reflections that emphasize freshness and clarity, while the brilliance in the glass suggests purity of fruit and precise winemaking.

NOSE

The aromatic profile combines citrus, white flowers, and gentle stone-fruit notes, with a subtle hint of herbal lift and minerality contributing complexity without overwhelming the natural elegance of the fruit.

MOUTH

On the palate, it is lively and well-balanced, offering a smooth texture supported by crisp acidity. Flavors of lemon, peach, and delicate floral tones unfold gradually, leading to a clean, persistent, and finely detailed finish.

PAIRING

This Pessac-Léognan Blanc pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, goat cheese, delicate poultry dishes, or vegetable preparations. Its freshness and finesse make it equally suitable for refined meals or apéritif moments.

Château Haut-Vigneau

Château Haut-Vigneau is located in Pessac-Léognan and benefits from gravel-rich soils that help express clarity, finesse, and balance in its wines. The estate follows traditional Bordeaux winemaking practices with attentive vineyard work and careful blending. Known for crafting cuvées marked by purity and elegance, the domaine reflects the classic style and heritage of the Graves region.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
