DESCRIPTION

The Picpoul de Pinet from Domaine de Montredon is a crisp and lively white wine from the Mediterranean coast of the Languedoc. Made from 100% Piquepoul Blanc, it is celebrated for its freshness, bright acidity, and delicate saline notes. This cuvée perfectly reflects the breezy coastal terroir, delivering a wine that is refreshing, elegant, and ideal for warm weather enjoyment.

EYE

This wine displays a pale straw-yellow color with green reflections, clear and bright. Its shimmering robe reflects its youth and refreshing character.

NOSE

The bouquet is fresh and inviting, offering notes of lemon zest, lime, and white flowers. Subtle hints of sea breeze and minerality add complexity and coastal charm.

MOUTH

On the palate, it is crisp and precise, with flavors of citrus, green apple, and a touch of salinity. A lively acidity and light body create a clean, invigorating mouthfeel, leading to a long, zesty finish.

PAIRING

Perfect with oysters, mussels, and other shellfish, it also pairs beautifully with sushi, grilled fish, or light summer salads. Its bright, saline edge makes it an ideal aperitif on a sunny day.

Domaine de Montredon

Domaine de Montredon is located in the heart of the Picpoul de Pinet appellation, near the Thau Lagoon. With a long family history and a deep respect for the region’s traditions, the estate focuses on producing wines that highlight the purity and vivacity of the Piquepoul grape. Sustainable practices and careful winemaking ensure that each cuvée expresses the essence of its Mediterranean terroir.

Languedoc-Roussillon

The Languedoc-Roussillon region, located west of Provence and South of the Rhône valley, on the Mediterranean Sea, is the largest wine region of France. It is known for its rich wine and culinary history influenced by the Roman period and its mediterranean culture and climate. Benefiting from "usually" good growing conditions, winemaking creativity and experimentation thrive here, as new generations of producers have focused on premium wines and organic or natural farming. Native red grape varieies such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault result usually into bold and smooth red blends with always a touch of earthiness or dry herbs. This region is diverse and exiciting in its offerings, and offer a wide range of wines from simple single varietals to sophisticated red blends that will compete against the best wines in the world. Enjoy Languedoc wines with grilled meat or fish (for the whites), lamb stews, or any mediterranean dishes.
