The Alsace Gentil from Famille Hugel is a vibrant and elegant white wine blending the noble grape varieties of Alsace — Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Muscat, and Pinot Blanc. This cuvée unites the freshness of Riesling, the richness of Pinot Gris, the spice of Gewurztraminer, and the fruitiness of Muscat into a harmonious whole. Dry, aromatic, and beautifully balanced, it is an ideal introduction to the wines of Alsace.
EYE

A bright straw-yellow color with shimmering green highlights, clear and luminous. The robe reflects both freshness and vibrancy, inviting the first sip.

NOSE

The bouquet is expressive and layered, offering aromas of white flowers, ripe pear, and citrus zest. Subtle notes of honey, spice, and a touch of minerality add complexity and finesse.

MOUTH

Famille Hugel, established in 1639 in the village of Riquewihr, is one of the most iconic and historic wine families in Alsace. For over twelve generations, they have produced wines that reflect the region’s unique terroirs with precision and respect for tradition. Their Gentil cuvée revives the ancestral practice of blending noble grapes, resulting in a wine that is approachable, versatile, and true to the spirit of Alsace.

Alsace

With a rich history and geography between the French and German borders, and near the Vosges mountains and the Rhine river, the Alsace region is representative of its mixed cultural heritage. Mostly known for its dry Rieslings, Alsace also produces Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewürtztraminer as well as Crémant d'Alsace wines, which is sparkling. 90% of the wines from Alsace are white. Try a Riesling with its floral bouquet and hints of minerality or a Gewurztraminer for its full body and intense aromas of flowers, spices and lychee.
