DESCRIPTION

The Sainte-Victoire Rosé from Château Coussin is a refined and elegant wine that showcases the exceptional terroir of this sub-appellation of Provence. Crafted from Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, it combines delicacy, freshness, and aromatic complexity. Crisp and mineral, it is a benchmark rosé for lovers of elegant, gastronomic styles.

EYE

This rosé displays a pale, luminous salmon-pink color with silver highlights, clear and brilliant in the glass.

NOSE

The bouquet is expressive and refined, offering aromas of wild strawberries, white peach, and citrus zest. Hints of rose petals and flint bring depth and elegance.

MOUTH

On the palate, it is crisp and vibrant, with flavors of red berries, grapefruit, and a touch of spice. The lively acidity and mineral backbone lead to a long, dry, and refreshing finish.

PAIRING

Perfect with grilled fish, shellfish, and Mediterranean salads, it also pairs beautifully with sushi, goat cheese, or enjoyed as an elegant aperitif on a sunny day.

Château Coussin

Château Coussin is part of the Famille Sumeire estates, a family deeply rooted in Provence winemaking for generations. Located at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, the estate focuses on sustainable viticulture and precision winemaking, producing wines that reflect the purity and minerality of this exceptional terroir.

Provence

Provence is the oldest wine producing region of France with a perfect sunny, dry and warm Mediteranean climate cooled down by the frequent Mistral wind. The Greeks were the first to plant grapevines in Provence more than 2,000 year ago and were already known for making rosé wines(!) The region has also a long history of blending grape varieties for their winemaking, such as Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Carignan, Bourboulenc and Mourvedre to name a few. Today, rosé accounts for more than 80% of Provence wine production, it gained in the past 10-15 years the reputation for being among the best Rosés produced in the world, showcasing refreshing minerality, refined floral aromas with fruity and citrussy flavors. These wines are best to enjoy chilled during the hottest months of the year, at summer parties, with a barbecue, with seafood or just with refreshing salads. Some people drink them also year around.
