DESCRIPTION

The Pauillac Cinquième Grand Cru Classé Château Lynch-Bages is a benchmark of power, precision, and balance from Bordeaux's Left Bank. Crafted predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the deep gravel soils of Pauillac, it combines structure with remarkable elegance. Aged in French oak barrels, the wine reveals layers of cassis, cedar, and graphite, framed by firm yet polished tannins. Rich, complex, and age-worthy, it embodies the timeless character and grandeur of classic Pauillac.

EYE

Deep garnet-red with purple highlights, dense and brilliant.

NOSE

Complex aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cedar, accented by notes of tobacco, graphite, and spice.

MOUTH

Full-bodied and structured, with layers of ripe dark fruit and finely integrated oak. The palate is powerful yet balanced, leading to a long, elegant finish of mineral freshness and refined tannins. Built to age gracefully for decades.

PAIRING

Ideal with roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, or beef Wellington. It also pairs beautifully with truffle dishes or aged cheeses such as Comté and Ossau-Iraty.

Château Lynch-Bages

Located on the outskirts of Pauillac, Château Lynch-Bages is one of the Médoc’s most renowned estates. Founded in the 18th century and revitalized under the stewardship of Jean-Michel Cazes and his family, it has built a reputation for crafting wines that unite depth, precision, and generosity. Combining tradition with innovation, Lynch-Bages consistently produces expressive, long-lived wines that capture both the strength of Pauillac and the elegance of its terroir.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
