DESCRIPTION

The Meursault “Les Tillets” from Domaine Jobard-Morey is a precise and elegant expression of this revered Côte de Beaune appellation. Situated high on the slopes above the village, the “Les Tillets” vineyard benefits from limestone-rich soils that lend freshness and tension to the wine. Aged in French oak barrels, it combines vibrant minerality with rich texture, offering a harmonious balance between citrus brightness, subtle oak, and creamy depth. Refined and persistent, it embodies the finesse of classic Meursault.

EYE

Pale golden color with bright green reflections, luminous and elegant.

NOSE

Refined aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and fresh pear, with delicate notes of hazelnut, vanilla, and wet stone.

MOUTH

Vibrant and well-balanced, offering layers of lemon, apple, and almond cream supported by crisp acidity. The finish is long and mineral, with a fine tension that gives the wine both energy and sophistication.

PAIRING

Excellent with seared scallops, grilled sea bass, or roast chicken in a light cream sauce. It also pairs beautifully with mild cheeses such as Comté or Chaource.

Burgundy

In Burgundy, the perfect soil and wine growing climate, coupled with a rich multi-generational history in growing grapes and making fine wines, has built Burgundy's extraordinary reputation for producing exceptional wines in 84 appellations. With a focus on pinot noir, chardonnay, gamay and aligoté grapes, the region showcases mostly single varietals. The pinot noir and chardonnay, accounts for the vast majority of the wines produced. There is also some sparkling made, knows as Crémant de Bourgogne. The high limestone content in Burgundy's soils coupled with a usually cool continental climate, produces the best pinot noir and chardonnay in the world. The whites showcase notes and flavors of white flowers, white flesh fruits and sometimes intense minerals, while the reds have scents of black fruits, red berries, spices or black truffle. No wonder, Burgundies where the wine of choice for many French kings, and to this day, remain the best companion for fine dining.
