Château Rollan de By, nestled in the Médoc, is celebrated for its artisanal winemaking and elegant Cru Bourgeois wines. This family estate blends tradition with innovation, cultivating classic Bordeaux varietals like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2014 Château Rollan de By, a Médoc Cru Bourgeois, showcases the finesse of a well-balanced vintage. Grown on gravelly soils near the Gironde estuary, the grapes benefit from ideal ripening conditions. Aged in French oak, the wine offers aromas of blackberries, plum, and subtle cedar. On the palate, it is smooth and structured, with fine tannins and notes of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones.
Elegant and approachable, this vintage is ready to enjoy now but will continue to age gracefully for several more years.

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
