The Riesling Mandelberg Grand Cru from Domaine Specht is a refined and expressive wine born from one of Alsace’s most esteemed terroirs. Bright golden in color, it reveals complex aromas of citrus, peach, white flowers, and a delicate minerality. On the palate, it is dry yet generous, with vibrant acidity balanced by depth and structure, leading to a long, elegant finish. This Grand Cru Riesling is a perfect match for fine seafood, lobster, scallops, or rich poultry dishes, and it has excellent aging potential.

Domaine Specht

Located in Mittelwihr in the heart of Alsace, Domaine Specht was founded in 1955 when Alfred Specht transformed the family farm into a vineyard. Today, with 11 hectares divided into 40 plots, the domaine cultivates all Alsatian grapes, with a special focus on Grand Cru Mandelberg. Currently transitioning to organic farming, Domaine Specht emphasizes manual harvests and sustainable practices to craft expressive, terroir-driven wines.

With a rich history and geography between the French and German borders, and near the Vosges mountains and the Rhine river, the Alsace region is representative of its mixed cultural heritage. Mostly known for its dry Rieslings, Alsace also produces Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewürtztraminer as well as Crémant d'Alsace wines, which is sparkling. 90% of the wines from Alsace are white. Try a Riesling with its floral bouquet and hints of minerality or a Gewurztraminer for its full body and intense aromas of flowers, spices and lychee.
