DESCRIPTION

Château Cap de Faugères is a rich and elegant red wine from Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, one of Bordeaux's best-value appellations on the Right Bank on the extension limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion. Predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Franc, it offers aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, graphite, and spice. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with polished tannins, dark fruit flavors, and a long, balanced finish. This outstanding Bordeaux pairs beautifully with grilled meats, lamb, duck, and aged cheeses.

Château Faugèes

Château Faugères is a prestigious Grand Cru Classé estate located in Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Highly regarded by critics and collectors alike, Château Faugères is an excellent choice for pairing with lamb, beef, game, and aged cheeses or for cellaring and long-term enjoyment.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
