DESCRIPTION

The IGP Atlantique Rouge from Vignoble Gonfrier is a supple and fruit-forward red wine crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Nurtured by the Atlantic climate of southwest France, the vines benefit from oceanic breezes that bring freshness and balance to the fruit. In the glass, this cuvée reveals a generous, earthy character with vibrant fruit and silky tannins. Easy-drinking yet elegant, it’s a versatile wine perfect for both casual evenings and convivial meals.

EYE

Deep ruby red with youthful purple reflections.

NOSE

Aromatic and inviting, with notes of ripe red berries, blackcurrant, and subtle spicy accents.

MOUTH

Round and smooth on the palate, offering juicy flavors of cherry and blackberry. Supple tannins and a fresh, balanced finish make it ideal for everyday enjoyment.

PAIRING

A perfect companion to grilled meats, charcuterie boards, and pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces. It also pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables or semi-soft cheeses.

Vignobles Gonfrier

Vignoble Gonfrier is a family-run estate near Bordeaux, where tradition meets innovation. Dedicated to sustainable vineyard practices and precise winemaking, the estate showcases the richness of the Atlantic terroir through the CaracTerre range — expressive wines that highlight the unique character of the region.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
