DESCRIPTION

Cochon Volant Blanc from Château de Caraguilhes is a vibrant and aromatic white wine from the Corbières region in southern France. Crafted from a blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Vermentino, it offers a perfect harmony between fruit, freshness, and Mediterranean character. Crisp yet round, this cuvée expresses the sun-drenched personality of the Languedoc with elegance and finesse.

EYE

Pale straw yellow with green reflections, bright and clear, reflecting freshness and vitality.

NOSE

Expressive and elegant, revealing aromas of white peach, pear, and citrus, enhanced by floral notes of acacia and wild herbs from the surrounding garrigue. Subtle hints of honey and minerality add depth.

MOUTH

Fresh and round on the palate, with lively acidity balanced by a smooth, supple texture. Flavors of stone fruit, lemon zest, and a touch of spice unfold harmoniously, leading to a long, clean, and slightly saline finish.

PAIRING

Perfect with grilled fish, seafood, sushi, or white meats. It also pairs beautifully with Mediterranean salads, goat cheese, or vegetable dishes — ideal for warm-weather dining and aperitifs outdoors.

Château de Caraguilhes

Founded in 1958 and located in the heart of Corbières, Château de Caraguilhes is one of the region’s pioneering organic estates. Surrounded by garrigue and wild herbs, its 135 hectares of vineyards are cultivated sustainably on limestone and clay soils. The estate’s philosophy is centered on respect for nature, minimal intervention, and the authentic expression of terroir — producing wines that are pure, balanced, and full of southern charm.

Languedoc-Roussillon

The Languedoc-Roussillon region, located west of Provence and South of the Rhône valley, on the Mediterranean Sea, is the largest wine region of France. It is known for its rich wine and culinary history influenced by the Roman period and its mediterranean culture and climate. Benefiting from "usually" good growing conditions, winemaking creativity and experimentation thrive here, as new generations of producers have focused on premium wines and organic or natural farming. Native red grape varieies such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault result usually into bold and smooth red blends with always a touch of earthiness or dry herbs. This region is diverse and exiciting in its offerings, and offer a wide range of wines from simple single varietals to sophisticated red blends that will compete against the best wines in the world. Enjoy Languedoc wines with grilled meat or fish (for the whites), lamb stews, or any mediterranean dishes.
