DESCRIPTION

The Margaux Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Margaux is the epitome of Left Bank elegance and one of the most graceful wines in the world. Crafted predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, it reflects the gravelly soils of its legendary terroir. Aged in new French oak barrels, this Grand Vin achieves an unparalleled harmony of perfume, structure, and length. Silky and refined yet profoundly complex, Château Margaux embodies the purest expression of balance, charm, and timeless sophistication.

EYE

Brilliant garnet-red with ruby reflections, luminous and refined.

NOSE

Exquisite aromas of violet, blackcurrant, and red berries, intertwined with notes of cedar, graphite, and subtle spice.

MOUTH

Silky and layered on the palate, offering pure, vibrant fruit supported by fine-grained tannins and precise acidity. Flavors of cassis, rose petal, and tobacco unfold into a long, elegant finish that combines delicacy with remarkable depth. A wine of perfect balance and exceptional longevity.

PAIRING

Ideal with roast lamb, duck breast, or beef tenderloin. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom dishes, truffle risotto, or aged cheeses such as Comté and Beaufort.

Château Margaux

Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Margaux is a jewel of the Médoc and a global symbol of fine wine. With roots dating back to the 16th century, the estate combines centuries of heritage with meticulous precision under the leadership of Corinne Mentzelopoulos. Revered for its architectural beauty and its wines’ ethereal finesse, Château Margaux consistently produces some of Bordeaux’s most elegant and enduring expressions — masterpieces of purity, fragrance, and refinement.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
