DESCRIPTION

The Minervois La Livinière “Les Amandiers” from Château Maris is a powerful yet elegant expression of the Languedoc’s finest terroirs. Crafted from Syrah grown on limestone and schist soils, this cuvée captures both richness and purity. Aged in French oak barrels, it reveals depth, balance, and a beautifully polished texture. Concentrated and aromatic, “Les Amandiers” showcases ripe black fruit, spice, and minerality — a wine that combines Mediterranean warmth with remarkable finesse and aging potential.

EYE

Deep purple-red with brilliant highlights, dense and concentrated.

NOSE

Expressive aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and violet, interwoven with notes of garrigue herbs, pepper, and cocoa.

MOUTH

Full-bodied and refined, offering rich fruit and silky tannins supported by lively acidity. Layers of dark berries, spice, and mineral undertones lead to a long, elegant finish marked by freshness and balance.

PAIRING

Perfect with roasted lamb, duck confit, or grilled beef. It also pairs beautifully with Mediterranean cuisine, wild mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses such as Tomme de Montagne and Comté.

Chateau Maris

Château Maris, located in the heart of the Minervois, is celebrated as one of the world’s most sustainable wineries. Languedoc-Roussillon

The Languedoc-Roussillon region, located west of Provence and South of the Rhône valley, on the Mediterranean Sea, is the largest wine region of France. It is known for its rich wine and culinary history influenced by the Roman period and its mediterranean culture and climate. Benefiting from "usually" good growing conditions, winemaking creativity and experimentation thrive here, as new generations of producers have focused on premium wines and organic or natural farming. Native red grape varieies such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault result usually into bold and smooth red blends with always a touch of earthiness or dry herbs. This region is diverse and exiciting in its offerings, and offer a wide range of wines from simple single varietals to sophisticated red blends that will compete against the best wines in the world. Enjoy Languedoc wines with grilled meat or fish (for the whites), lamb stews, or any mediterranean dishes.
