Château Grand Corbin-Despagne

Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is a historic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, near the Pomerol border. Owned by the Despagne family for over 200 years, it produces elegant, age-worthy red wines primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vineyards sit on clay-sand and ancient soils, and the estate has been certified organic since 2013, reflecting its commitment to quality and sustainability.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the largest and possibly the most famous wine region in France marked by it's rich history beginning in Roman times. Back in 1885, several Châteaux were classified into grand crus with five quality levels which still exist today. As a port town, its unique geography is built around the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers which have created it's famous left bank (Medoc) and right banks (Pomerol and Saint-Émilion) and the Entre-Deux-Mers (between two "seas" or rivers) regions. 90% of Bordeaux wine is red with artful blending of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot and sometimes malbec. Wines showcase a full range of taste profiles from earthy with strong and dry tannins to softer and smoother with notes of plum, black fruits. There are the go to French wines with red meat dishes.
