The wine opens with ripe dark fruit and subtle spice, supported by fresh acidity and well-integrated tannins. On the palate, it combines concentration with balance, offering layers of black cherry, plum, and herbal undertones. Mineral tension from the limestone and schist soils brings lift and length. Structured yet refined, the wine expresses both the warmth of the Mediterranean and the elegance of high-elevation vineyards. Ideal now or with further cellaring.

It is known for its rich wine and culinary history influenced by the Roman period and its mediterranean culture and climate. Benefiting from "usually" good growing conditions, winemaking creativity and experimentation thrive here, as new generations of producers have focused on premium wines and organic or natural farming.
